Scarf bunny ear headbands are pretty popular this summer! How convenient would it be to have detachable scarf bunny ears that you could add and remove on an headband? Here’s a tutorial to make your own!
The things you need:
- A piece of printed cloth / scarf
- Garden wire
- Needle & thread
- Pliers
- Plain headband
Difficulty: 1/5
This is fairly easy to make as long as you know how to sew!
Step 1: Cut your piece of cloth to a rectangular shape with rounded ends (kind of like a sausage hotdog), any size you want your ears to be. This will be folded in half on the long side.
Step 2: Fold the cut piece of cloth in half on the long side, underside facing out. Start stitching the two sides together but remember to leave an small opening somewhere in the middle (avoid either of the 2 ends!)
Step 3: After you’ve sewed the cloth into a little pouch, turn the fabric inside out through the small opening. Measure the wire and cut a piece that’s fits into your pouch and curl in both ends of the wire with pliers so that it doesn’t poke through the fabric.
Step 4: Stick in the wire, stitch up the opening gap, and you’re done! Just twist it onto your existing headband and you have an instant bunny ear headband for the summer
